CantMiss Productions was created around one simple idea: the people who build the world around us deserve something made specifically for them — and something that makes them laugh.
The idea for CantMiss Productions began during an ordinary shopping trip. A construction worker was looking for a small gift and noticed something: there were calendars for dogs, cats, flowers, cars and just about everything else.
But there was almost nothing created specifically for construction workers.
That simple observation sparked the idea that would eventually become The Lighter Side of Construction.
Millions of people work in construction and the trades every day. They put in long hours, solve problems, work through difficult conditions and quite literally help build the world around us.
CantMiss Productions was created to give those hardworking people something of their own — something entertaining, relatable and built around the humor that comes with life on a jobsite.
What started as an idea for a construction calendar grew into a character-driven brand filled with mishaps, personalities and the kind of situations anyone in the trades can recognize.
The goal has always been simple: create something fun, recognizable and entertaining for the people doing the work.
CantMiss Productions was created specifically with construction workers, contractors and tradespeople in mind.
Jobs do not always go according to plan. Sometimes the best stories come from the things that go completely wrong.
From calendars to character artwork and merchandise, the brand brings construction culture to life in a unique way.
The Lighter Side of Construction is built around the personalities, mistakes and everyday situations that make jobsite life unforgettable.
At the center of it all are Dougie, Toddo and Spackle — a crew with plenty of confidence, questionable execution and an incredible ability to turn even a straightforward project into something memorable.
Together, they bring the humor of the construction world to life.
Construction is serious work, but that does not mean the people doing it cannot have a sense of humor.
They can take on just about any construction job. Whether the job survives is another question.
The self-proclaimed ace of the crew. Dougie always has a plan and usually knows exactly how Toddo should carry it out.
Second in command and not exactly known for listening. Somehow every ordinary assignment becomes its own hilarious adventure.
Every crew needs a loyal companion. Spackle gets a front-row seat to the chaos and watches one construction disaster after another unfold.
CantMiss Productions celebrates the personalities, stories and humor of construction through The Lighter Side of Construction.
